Cacique (Ka-seek) is the title given to an Indian Chief in the areas of South America and the Caribbean and the name is given to either a male or female leader. My mission has adopted the name Cacique's Closet in the spirit of giving, and caring for the descendants of the Taino Indian, and escaped African prisoners that made their home on the island of Quisqueya, today known as Dominican Republic. Check out my featured video for an introduction to our paradise! Despite it's natural beauty this little corner of the world is wracked with poverty not readily seen by tourist.
For over a three years now, I have personally asked friends, and family to gather discarded items and give them to us to ship to the needy little slum of Villa Mella in the capital of Santo Domingo. I have been so thankful for the wonderful response that enabled us to ship several large boxes - Thank you!
So there you have it! Thank you for reading this far! My first priority NOW-TODAY is to receive donated Delta Skymiles, and funds for the freight shipping costs of over 500lbs of used clothing, and toys....all with upcoming deadlines! Small donations can add up - no donation is too small - it's needed!
I regret that your gift would not be tax deductible - it will just come from your heart and it will go directly to the children! Thank you!
